Outdoors – Understanding – Teamwork – Skills – Immersion – Discovery – Exploration

OUTSIDE is our outdoor learning program designed to enhance student health, wellbeing, and learning through meaningful engagement with nature. The program empowers students to learn about themselves, each other, their environment, and the world around them.

Grounded in experience, observation, and research, OUTSIDE was created by our staff with a commitment to increasing opportunities for students to:

• Experience challenges and problem-solving in natural settings

• Engage in the curriculum through outdoor exploration

• Foster teamwork and resilience

• Enjoy child-led play and discovery

In 2025, students will participate in OUTSIDE for two full days each term as we begin implementing the program. Activities will be tailored to suit the evolving interests and needs of our students, and the program will remain flexible and adaptive.

Looking ahead to 2026, we aim to expand OUTSIDE to one day per week during Weeks 2–9 of each term, offering deeper and more regular immersion in outdoor learning.
